Flash BIOS Utility v 1.02 Build 2 ========== Directions ========== Run PTIFLASH.EXE utility from a clean, DOS boot (NO EMM386.EXE, MUST be clean boot). 1) Use menu options to SAVE a binary image of the current Flash BIOS to disk Promise recommends storing a backup of the present Flash BIOS prior to updating the Flash with a new BIOS. You may load 'xxxxxxxx.bin' files to/from your floppy diskette or other drive letter source. To specify filenames for load/save you must type in the FULL path, ex: A:\U33110.BIN 2) LOAD a new binary image of a Flash BIOS from disk 3) EXIT the utility. ======= History ======= 1.02 Build 2 02/09/99 - Changed utility so that it does not insist on immediate reboot after use. 1.02 Build 1 02/09/99 - Changed utility to work with protected mode in order to address the Flash RAM directly for those motherboards which are unable to allocate memory-space for the old version. 1.01 01/06/99 - Bug fixes in hardware identification for new hardware controller card support added. 1.0 11/23/98 - Support for a secondary type of Flash RAM chip used by by some of the cards (MX) added.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
