             Microsoft Windows 95 with Client 32 Driver


To install the Client 32 driver under Windows 95 follow these steps.

NOTE:  It is assumed that Windows 95 has already been installed.


1.  Download IntranetWare Client for Windows95 V2.20 at 
    http://support.novell.com/products/ if you have not done so.
	
2.  For a floppy disk installation, copy the TLNKPODI.INF file from TokenDisk 
    diskette #2 (A:\netware\Client32\TLNKPODI.INF) to the Client32 installation 
    DISK#1. For Network or Hard drive installation, copy the TLNKPODI.INF file 
    to the installation directory for Client32.

3.  Edit the NWSETUP.INI file and add a reference under INF files section. 
    (Example :  100=TLNKPODI.INF)


Fresh install of Client 32 on Windows 95 System
-----------------------------------------------

1. Remove adapters from Network/Control Panel for any cards that 
   are no longer in the system or are going to be removed.

2. Shut down the system, remove old card, add new card, and power on the system.

3. When Windows 95 auto detects the new hardware, install the NDIS 3 driver as 
   instructed in the user guide.  Restart the system.

4.  Run the Client 32 installation program using SETUP.EXE.  Choose the Custom 
    option and check the box "Replace NDIS driver to ODI driver, if available". Insert  
    TokenDisk diskette #1 when prompted.

5. Restart the system.

Note: If the system comes up correctly you’re finished. If not Remove the adapter and ODINSUP 
      from NetWork/Control Panel and restart the system. When Windows95 detects the new 
      hardware, the correct new ODI driver should be selected and Client 32 diskettes/directory 
      installation prompted for.  Complete the Client 32 installation.


Installation on Windows95 system with Client 32 pre-installed
-------------------------------------------------------------

1. Shut down the system, remove the old card, insert the new card and power on the system.

2.  When Windows 95 detects the new hardware, select the "HAVE DISK" option for installation, 
    or if the Device Driver Wizard detects the card, hit the "NEXT" key, then "OTHER 
    LOCATIONS..". (Different machines will vary on installation messages.)

3. Insert Diskette #1 into the floppy drive and point it to the TLNKPODI.INF file.
   (A:\netware\Client32\TLNKPODI.INF)

4. Restart the system. Remove adapters from Network/Control Panel for any cards that are no 
   longer in the system.


**Note: If the current Client32 for Windows95 in your system is older than V2.20, we recommend 
  you upgrade to the latest version.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
