XV-3080 Updating from SmartMedia card. Use the following procedure to update the Roland XV-3080 using a SmartMedia card. Copy the file to the SmartMedia card: 1) Format the SmartMedia in DOS. 2) Create a "Roland" directory in the root directory. 3) Copy the update file to the "Roland" directory of the SmartMedia card. Use the following procedure to update the XV-3080: 1) Insert the Update SmartMedia card into the XV-3080 Card Slot. 2) Power on while holding DEC and C. "Update [CARD] Never Shutdown," "Yes=INC, No=DEC" will be displayed. 3) Press INC. 4) When updating is completed correctly, "Complete Update Please Power Off" will be displayed and the [A] to [H] LEDs will blink. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
