Updating the VS-840 Operating System from Zip disk. Use the following procedure to update the VS-840 system software. The updated software is provided as a single file titled "$syspro2.vs1." The tools required are: * PC Compatible Computer * SCSI Zip Drive * SCSI Cable * VS-840 * VS-840 System Update File Update Procedure 1) Connect the Zip drive to the computer and copy the update file to a Zip disk that has been formatted by the VS-840. 2) Power off the VS-840 and insert the Zip disk with the update file into the Zip drive. 3) Power on the VS-840. After a short time, the screen will display "Update Sysprg?" 4) Press YES. 5) The message "Please Reboot OK" will be displayed. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
