1. General Notes

  It is IMPORTANT that you read this README file and all the
  supplied documentation BEFORE you continue the installation!
  Otherwise the company cannot accept any responsibility for claims

2.Installation Notes 
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You must have Windows NT 4.0 installed with the Standard VGA driver (640x480x16)
before you install the Diamond SpeedStar Series NT 4.0 drivers.  If you
are running a different graphics mode please re-configure for Standard VGA.

Installation Instructions

Note that the default resolution that installed is 640x480x8 60Hz.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
1.  Open the Windows NT Control Panel or right-click on your desktop and choose
    Properties.

2.  Click on the Settings tab.

3.  Click the Display Type... button. 

4.  Click the Change... button

5.  Click the Have Disk... button.

6.  In the space labeled Copy manufacturers files from, type D:\NT4 (where D:\
    is the letter of your CD-ROM drive).  You may also click on the Browse
    button and navigate out to the CD-ROM and find the NT4 folder that way.

7.  Next click OK when you see the driver entry: 
    "SiS 6326"

8.  A "Third-party Drivers" dialog box will appear, select Yes to proceed, then
    click Yes.
 
9.  Now select Close twice. 

10.  "System Settings Change" dialog box will appear, select Yes to restart the
     computer.

11.  Once Windows NT 4.0 restarts, you will have successfully installed the Diamond
     SpeedStar Series NT 4.0 drivers.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
