Compaq 32-Bit SCSI Controller Driver
1. INTRODUCTION
This file contains the instructions necessary for installing the Compaq 32-
Bit SCSI Controller Driver using the Compaq component installer.
2. MANUAL DRIVER INSTALLATION
1. Extract the contents of a component package, run the Smart Component
executable file, then click the Extract button.
2. Run the FLOPPY.BAT file to create the diskette.
3. Start the Windows 2000 installation as directed by the Operating
System (OS) instructions.
4. When the screen appears with the message at the bottom of the screen
stating, "Press the F6 key if you need to install a third party SCSI
RAID driver", press the F6 key.
IMPORTANT: If you do not press F6 during the brief interval that this
statement is on the bottom of the screen, you must restart the
installation.
5. Press the S key to specify an additional device. The next screen asks
you to insert a diskette into the diskette drive.
6. Insert the driver diskette and press Enter.
7. Depending on the type of device installed, choose:
· Compaq Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI Controller
· Compaq Integrated Wide Ultra2 SCSI Controller
The selected Compaq SCSI Controller should be in the list of adapters
to be installed. If so, press Enter to continue the OS installation.
If the controller is not in the list, press S to return to the
selection screen and repeat Step 4 using the correct diskette.
8. Continue the installation using the OS instructions. Leave the
diskette in the floppy drive until you are instructed to remove it.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
