Please consult INST_DOS.TXT for help with PC Card Drivers. Getting Started will describe the installation instructions. Type: LOAD INSTALL Select "Driver options", -> "Configure network drivers", and -> "Select a driver". Press <Insert> key to install an unlisted driver. Please insert release driver diskette into floppy disk. Press <F3> to specify a different <PATH>. <PATH> is directory which include both FP16.LAN and FP16.LDI Ex. A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411 Select "FP16.LAN ...". Select "Save parameters and load driver" after configuring adpter setting. NetWare server will loading/binding driver automatically. Specify "I/O port" and "Interrupt number" while NetWare server is loading the driver, and these values should be consistent with the values set by ENFP16.EXE. After the driver has been loaded, check whether all the frame types you want are specified for this driver in AUTOEXEC.NCF. The other time installation from the install menu ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Start the NetWare Server. > CD \NWSERVER > SERVER Execute "LOAD INSTALL" after booting up. Type: LOAD INSTALL Select "Driver options", -> "Configure network drivers", and -> "Select a driver". Select "FP16.LAN ..." in Select a driver window. Select "Save parameters and load driver" after configuring adpter setting. NetWare server will loading/binding driver automatically. Specify "I/O port" and "Interrupt number" while NetWare server is loading the driver, and these values should be consistent with the values set by ENFP16.EXE. Modifying an existing NetWare 4.11 Server ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Make a sub-directory NLMS.OLD under NWSERVER directory. Ex. >MD \NWSERVER\NLMS.OLD Save MSM.NLM, ETHERTSM.NLM to NLMS.OLD sub-directory. Please insert driver diskette into floppy disk dirve. Copy all provided NLM and LAN files into your dos directory which include SERVER.EXE. Ex. >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\MSM.NLM C:\NWSERVER >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\ETHERTSM.NLM C:\NWSERVER >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\FP16.LAN C:\NWSERVER >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\FP16.LDI C:\NWSERVER Start the NetWare Server. > CD \NWSERVER > SERVER From the Novell Server side, execute "LOAD INSTALL". Type: LOAD INSTALL Select <NCF files options> Select <Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF file> Add the following commands into the server's AUTOEXEC.NCF file. Search Add C:\NWSERVER LOAD C:\NWSERVER\MSM.NLM LOAD C:\NWSERVER\ETHERTSM.NLM LOAD FP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_802.3 NAME=FP16_1_E83 BIND IPX FP16_1_E83 NET=1111 LOAD FP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 NAME=FP16_1_E82 BIND IPX FP16_1_E82 NET=1113 LOAD FP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_II NAME=FP16_1_EII BIND IPX FP16_1_EII NET=1115 LOAD FP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_SNAP NAME=FP16_1_ESP BIND IPX FP16_1_ESP NET=1117 Note: the PORT and INT parameters should be set as the values which are set by ENFP16.EXE. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
