****D2 System Update**** Tools Needed: 1. D2 2. D2 System Update Files 3. MIDI Sequencer capable of playing SMFs 4. MIDI Cable NOTE: Updating your D2 will cause the user information to be returned to factory settings. Back up all user information you wish to keep. **Update Procedure** Note: do not turn the D2's power off once the update process has begun until all SMF data has been loaded. 1. Connect the MIDI out of the sequencer to the MIDI in of the D2. 2. Hold ENTER, RPS and ASSIGN1 and turn the D2s power on. 3. When "--- ---" is displayed, press PART SELECT/MUTE 2 then press PART SELECT/MUTE 5. "SYSUP" will be displayed. 4. When "000000" is displayed, send all 32 SMFs in numeric order, starting with "D0000000.MID" and ending with "S0000016.MID". After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
