BIOS-Update for HOT-541
=======================

!!! Das beiliegende Bios-File läßt sich auf dem HOT-541 nicht !!!
!!! programmieren, falls ein Intel-Flash-EPROM bestückt ist. !!!
!!! Ziehen Sie den AWARD-Bios-Aufklebere ab; falls ein "i" !!!
!!! aufgedruckt ist, dann ist es ein Intel-Typ. !!!
!!! Ein Programmierversuch mit Intel-Flash-EPROM führt dazu, !!!
!!! dass der Rechner nicht mehr startet. !!!
In diesem Fall ist ein Update mit der 541xxx10.BIN möglich.

Attention!
This file may not be up do date.
We are not liable for any damages caused by the bios-update.

!!! Do not update bios, if EPROM is manufactured by Intel. !!!
You can recognize the typ of flash eprom by removing
the AWARD-label from the eprom. If it's an intel typ,
then it is signed with "i". In this case the boot block
is write-protected.
In this case update bios not higher than version 541xxx10.BIN!

Execute flash-programming without any memory manager. Disable for example
the EMM386.EXE in CONFIG.SYS. Disable any password settings in
Bios-Setup!

Start program by entering: AFLH52B <Bios-Filename>

The <Bios-Filename> depends on the I/O-Chip (U39) of the onboard-controller.

          541WNQ13.BIN   Nationa-I/O-Chip
          541WSQ13.BIN   SMC-I/O-Chip
          541WUQ20.BIN   UMC-I/O-Chip

We suggest to update to version 541WXB13 (X:N,S,U) in all cases.

After programming then switch off the system and start again.

Info:
=====
since version 13 "LS-120" 120MB Floppy drive is supported
since version 13 "AMD K6" CPU is supported
Make bios update with any ISA-VGA-Card, if old Bios-Version
makes trouble with PnP.
