This disk contains the Proxima modems INF file 
for Windows95, Windows98 and WindowsNT4.0.

INSTALLATION
============

Plug&Play with Windows95, Windows98:
------------------------------------
Connect your modem to the serial port of your PC.

After a reboot Windows will prompt you a new hardware have 
been found and request for driver. 
Insert the driver disk in a: and follow the instructions.

If you don't want to reboot your PC you can manually start the
'new hardware search' with Windows's Start button, then select 
Settings/Control Panel/System, under System, select Device Manager, 
then select Refresh button.
Insert the driver disk in a: and follow the instructions.

Non Plug&Play with Windows95a & WindowsNT4.0:
-------------------------------------------
Connect your modem on the serial port of your PC.

Push Windows95's Start button, then select
Settings/Control Panel/Modem, under Modem, Select Add, then check
the "Don't auto detect modem,..." and push Next, then select Have a
disk and push Next. 
Insert the driver disk in a: and follow the instructions.


WindowsNT4.0 do not support Plug&Play modem.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
