Aptiva - 60AE7 Mwave driver install procedure for Windows 95 based systems 

Files and the order they are used in:

MWDOS01.EXE 
MWDOS02.EXE
MWWIN01.EXE
MWWIN02.EXE
MWWIN03.EXE
...and if necessary:
MWMIDI01.EXE -Only needed if you MWAVE Drivers have been completely un-installed before!
MWMIDI02.EXE -Only needed if you MWAVE Drivers have been completely un-installed before!
MWMIDI03.EXE -Only needed if you MWAVE Drivers have been completely un-installed before!
 

Step 1: Install the DOS Drivers
DOS
1.) Click on "START", "SHUTDOWN", "RESTART THE COMPUTER IN MS-DOS MODE", then click "YES". The computer will reboot.
2.) At the DOS prompt ( C:\> ) insert Disk 1 (MWDOS01.EXE) into drive A:, then type 'A:\INSTALL.EXE' then press <ENTER>.
6.) Select 'Yes' to update your existing MWAVE installation.
7.) When prompted select 'Yes' to use your existing MWAVE configuration.
8.) When prompted select 'Yes' to update your AUTOEXEC.BAT
9.) When prompted select 'OK' to backup your AUTOEXEC.BAT.
10.) Screen will show you your current settings.
The default settings are:

11.) Select EXIT on this screen.
12.) Insert Disk 2 (MWDOS02.EXE) when prompted.
13.) Select <OK> when prompted.
14.) When installation is complete, remove the disk from drive A: then type 'EXIT' and press <ENTER>.

Step 2: Install the Windows Drivers
Windows 95

1.) Click on Start
2.) Click on Run
3.) Insert Disk 1 (MWWIN01.EXE into drive A:
4.) Type 'A:\SETUP.EXE' in the box provided.
5.) Click on OK.
6.) Select "YES" to overwrite original configuration.
7.) Select "YES" to close all applications.
8.) Select "OK" to restart the computer.
9.) Once the computer restarts, select "OK" for a complete install.
10.) Insert disk 2 (MWWIN02.EXE) when prompted. Select "OK".
11.) Insert disk 3 (MWWIN03.EXE) when prompted. Select "OK".
12.) When asked if you would like to review configuration select "NO".
13.) When prompted about the README.TXT file select "OK".
14.) When prompted that the install program will restart computer select "YES".
15.) REMOVE DISK.


Step 3: If you have un-installed Mwave Support, Reinstall the MIDI Samples
1.) Insert Disk 1 (MWMIDI01.EXE) into Drive A:
2.) Click on "START" then "RUN"
3.) Type in "A:\SETUP.EXE" then press <ENTER>
4.) Press "OK" to select the default install directory (C:\MWAVE\SAMPLES\MIDIMED)
5.) Follow the on screen instructions, and insert each diskette into Drive A: as prompted.
6.) When all files have been copied, and installation is completed, you will need to reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.

You are now finished installing all of your drivers
