<< CASIO Update File Version 3.00 Features >>

The "CASIO Update File Version 3.00" program updates some programs inside
CASSIOPEIA. This program will fix the following issue.

1. Can't connect to PC by ActiveSync3.1 via serial connections.

## If you have no problem about serial connection between Pocket PC and PC by
   ActiveSync3.1, this program is NOT need for your device.

We recommend you use the CASSIOPEIA after first installing this program.


<< Installing CASIO Update File Version 3.00 >>

1. Connect your Pocket PC and PC with serial connection before downloading
   Update File Version 3.00 to your Pocket PC. Before connecting, please check
   connection setting (tap  [Start]->[Settings]->[Connections] and select
   "PC" icon) is not "USB socket Default".

*  If you cannot connect to PC with serial connection, try the following
   operation.

1-1. Tap [Start] -> [Programs] -> [Utility], then Tap "Menu" icon.

1-2. Tap "Define" to display edit mode.

1-3. Tap a Menu page button (frame) that is not assigned and tap [Application]
     button. If no empty Menu page button, tap "Edit" and select "Add Page".
     Creating new page that has new page buttons.

1-4. Tap [Browse] (That will show file chooser.)

1-5. Change file type from ".LNK" (shortcuts) to ".EXE" (executable programs).

1-6. Search "repllog.exe" from file list by scroll bar, and tap it.

1-7. Tap "(ok)" to assign "repllog.exe" to Menu page button.

1-8. Tap "(ok)" to exit edit mode.

1-9. On PC's ActiveSync, click "File" and select "Connection Settings".
     Check "Allow serial cable or infrared connection to this COM port" and
     confirm the COM port is selected correctly.

1-10. Put your device on cradle that connected to PC via serial cable.

1-11. Run "Menu", and tap "repllog" button on Menu page that you assigned.

1-12. A connection dialog will appear, and try to connect with ActiveSync.

2. Double click the Setup.exe and operate PC according to messages.

3. Once installation is completed, reset the Pocket PC by pressing the
   reset button.  If you don't press the reset button, program doesn't work.
   (Memory contents are not erased even if the reset button is pressed.)

## If you use the cradle while connecting with PC, use AC adapter.

## The message "On the next mobile device connection, the installed
   applications will be downloaded to the device." will be displayed, if you
   install Update File Version 3.00 without connecting your Pocket PC and PC.
   Tap "(ok)".

## You need to re-install this program when the memory on Pocket PC is
   initialized. You don't need to re-install this program when you only press
   the reset button.

## The message ""CASIO Update File Version 3.00" is already installed. Do you
   want to proceed with the re-install/upgrade?" indicates that CASIO Update
   File Version 3.00 is already installed on your Pocket PC. In this case, we
   recommend that you cancel the installation, use the "Remove Programs" applet
   on the Pocket PC /Start/Settings to remove the existing CASIO Update File
   Version 3.00, and then re-install it.

<<Uninstalling CASIO Update File Version 3.00>>

1. Tap "Start/Settings/Remove Programs" on Pocket PC.

2. Tap "CASIO Update File Version 3.00"  and tap "Remove".

3. Tap "Yes" when the message "The selected program will be permanently
   removed. You may reload it from your desktop computer. Are you sure you want
   to remove it?" is displayed.

4. Tap "(ok)".
