CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04

## Important!
This Update Pack is intended for the CASSIOPEIA models shown below. The 
Update Pack installer detects the CASSIOPEIA model that is being updated 
and installs the required update files. Never try to install the Update Pack on 
any other device or model other than those specifically listed below.

<<CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04 Features>>

"CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04" fixes and enhances the following 
capabilities of the applicable CASSIOPEIA model. 

1. Fixes the display driver to eliminate problems of the MPEG player and other 
   software with correct drawing of certain API.
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)

2. Speeds up writing to SD cards. 
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I, EM-505S)

3. Fixes the display driver so [+] symbol appears next to folders on Inbox. 
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)

4. Fixes time counter so it is displayed correctly when playing Solitaire while
   remote control earphones are plugged in. 
   (Applicable Models: EM-500)

5. Fixes time counter so cursor flashes normally, system does not lock up, and 
   other problems do not occur when Pocket Excel is started up while remote 
   control earphones are plugged in.
   (Applicable Models: EM-500)

6. Fixes the display driver so white dots do not appear on the screen while 
   playing Solitaire.
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I, 
   EM-505S)

7. Updates auto power off so power is turned off automatically even if a key 
   is kept depressed for five minutes after power is turned on.
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)

8. Speeds up display response.
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)

9. Fixes the update software so all E-125s allow to install the update pack.
   (Applicable Models: E-125)

10. Fixes a problem that makes it impossible to correctly configure any stop
    bit setting other than 1 when "Hayes Compatible Modem on COM 1" is 
    selected and the application is using the COM1 serial connection.
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)

11. Fixs a problem that was causing corruption of data sent at low baud rates 
    when "Hayes Compatible Modem on COM 1" is selected and the application 
    is using the COM1 serial connection. 
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)

12. Fixes a problem that occurs when data backup to a PC over an ActiveSync 
    USB connection is interrupted. 
   (Applicable Models: EM-500, E-125, E-125G, EM-500G, EM-505F, EM-505I,
   EM-505S)
   
    Note that communication problems may also be caused by incompatibility 
    between a particular PC and USB data communications.

We recommend that you install the program before using your CASSIOPEIA. 

<<Installing CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04>>

1. If you already install CASIO Update Pack Version 1.00 or CASIO Update
   Pack Version 1.01, uninstall it.

2. Connect your Pocket PC and PC before downloading Update Pack Version 
   1.04 to your Pocket PC.

3. Double click the Setup.exe and operate PC according to messages.

4. Once installation is completed, reset the Pocket PC by pressing the reset 
   button. If you don't press the reset button, program don't work.
   (Memory contents are not erased even if the reset button is pressed.)


## The message "On the next mobile device connection, the installed
   applications will be downloaded to the device." will be displayed, if you 
   install Update Pack Version 1.04 without connecting your Pocket PC and PC.
   Tap "OK".

## You need to re-install this program when the memory on Pocket PC is 
   initialized.
   You don't need to re-install this program when you only press the reset 
   button.

## The message ""CASIO Update Pack Ver 1.04" is already installed. 
   Do you want to proceed with the re-install/upgrade?" indicates that 
   CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04 is already installed on your Pocket PC.
   In this case, we recommend that you cancel the installation, use 
   the "Remove Programs" applet on the Pocket PC /Start/Settings to 
   remove the existing CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04, and then re-install it.

<<Uninstalling CASIO Update Pack Version 1.04>>

1. Tap "Start/Settings/Remove Programs" on Pocket PC.

2. Tap "CASIO Update Pack Ver 1.04"  and tap "Remove".

3. Tap "Yes" when the message "The selected program will be permanently
   removed. You may reload it from your desktop computer. Are you sure you 
   want to remove it?" is displayed.

4. Tap "OK".
