Installing the PCMCIA Ethernet Card Driver Under IBM OS/2 WARP VERSION 3.0 ============================================ The NDIS2 driver for OS/2 program follows Microsoft's NDIS specification version 2.0.1. The PCMCIA Ethernet Card driver files for IBM LAN Server contained in this directory are as follows: Files Contents ------------- ---------------------------------------------------- PCMND.OS2 NDIS driver for OS/2 WARP. PCMND.NIF Network information file for install. PROTOCOL.INI Includes driver binding information and operational parameters. The OS2 driver for the PCMCIA Ethernet adapter is provided by the manufacturer on the driver diskette delivered with the adapter card. The PCMND.OS2 and PCMND.NIF files are required if with LAPS. The NIF currently provided with this adapter card is incompatible with LAPS. In order to install the OS2 driver, the user must create a new NIF manually. The sample of the NIF is as below, please follow the following steps. Create a file called PCMND.NIF containing only the text provided in the sample below. COPY A:\NDIS2\OS2_WARP\PCMND.NIF C:\IBMCOM\MACS 2. Copy the driver PCMND.OS2 from the driver diskette into the directory. COPY A:\NDIS2\OS2_WARP\PCMND.OS2 C:\IBMCOM\MACS 3. Configure LAPS by executing MPTS.EXE and select "PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter" from the Network Adapters list box in the "Configure Workstation" window. Then choose appropriate "Protocols" to bind your network card. 4. Shutdown your OS/2 system, then reboot your PC.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
