For information on installing the Heidi(r) and 3D Studio Max(r) drivers, see the readme.txt files included on those disks. -------------------------- End of Version Information -------------------------- Installation Help ================= The Wildcat Pro Display driver will work with both AGP and AGP Pro versions of the Wildcat Display adapter. See MANIFEST.TXT for a list of delivered files. Please refer to the installation documentation provided with the media supplied with your system. If you are installing an updated driver from the 3Dlabs web site, please do the following: 1. Save the self-extracting .zip file to a temporary directory on the system hard drive. 2. Double-click the self-extracting zip file to unzip the driver files. These driver files are compressed and will be expanded during the installation process. NOTE: When re-installing Windows XP with a Wildcat Pro card installed in the system, the "Found New Hardware" dialog/wizard will not come up after the final boot into Windows XP. You must install the driver. Simply run the setup.exe program located with the Wildcat driver software, then reboot the system. The setup.exe program will install the driver for you. WINDOWS XP PLUG AND PLAY -------------------------- For driver installation and removal, refer to the Hardware section of the Windows XP online help. This Help is generally available by clicking on "Start" at the bottom left of the screen, and selecting the Help entry from the menu. Automated Installation Help =========================== NOTES: Make sure you have Windows XP Administrator privileges and write permission on the target machine, as the automated installation will create temporary directories on its hard drive. If you are installing a non-WHQL certified driver, you must set your Driver Signing Options to "Ignore" in order to prevent Windows XP from displaying a warning dialog. 1. Create an installation directory on your hard drive and then copy all installation files from the WCGDRV directory into your newly created directory on the hard drive. ( NOTE: Do not copy files from the HEIDI or 3DSMAX directories. These contain the Heidi(r) and 3D Studio Max(r) driver installations, respectively.) 2. Modify the setup.ini file to meet your specifications. 3. Run setup.exe. 4. Reboot the system. Unattended Installation Help ============================ To install the Wildcat Display driver as part of an unattended installation of Windows XP, execute the following steps. 1. Copy all driver files to a single directory in the $OEM$\$1\ path of the distribution directory (ex. d:\winXPdst\i386\$oem$\$1\wcgdrv). 2. Add the following sections to the unattend.txt file: [Unattended] OemPreinstall = yes OemPnPDriversPath = "wcgdrv" [Display] BitsPerPel = 32 XResolution = 1024 YResolution = 768 VRefresh = 75 3. Execute the unattended installation. NOTE: To bypass the digital signing check for a non-WHQL version of the driver, add the following entries to the unattend.txt file: [Unattended] DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore New Features ============ Fixes ===== 06.05.06.17 - Fixed an app crash when using draw arrays with Textures disabled but Texture Coordinate client state enabled and invalid address for texture coordinate buffer. 06.05.06.16 - Fixed a flashing / loss of data problem in CADCEUS. 06.05.06.15 - Fix for Hyperview model not displaying properly. 06.05.06.14 - Fixed a wrong color and a flashing color problem in CADCEUS. 06.05.06.13 - Fixed graphics error with One Space Designer. - Fixed system hang in Juneau application. 06.05.06.12 - Fixed genlock monitor timing problem. - Fixed bug with bitmap unpacking. - Fixed a flashing color problem in CADCEUS. 06.05.06.11 - Fixed Convolution error in dpiximg.exe - Fixed genlock monitor timing problem. 06.05.06.10 - Fixed flicker in 3DSMax transpar.max. - Fix for SAIC texture memory allocation problem. 06.05.06.09 - Fixed dropped triangles in shaded image with Hyperview application. 06.05.06.08 - Fixed hand when Houdini starts. - Fixed culling of monitor timings when Genlock support is selected with a Digital Flat Panel monitor. - Fixed a hang that can occur when running Tuxracer. 06.05.06.07 - Fixed an access violation in Maya. 06.05.06.06 - Fix for Hyperview model not displaying. 06.05.06.05 - Force the multiview timeout to the maximum value. 06.05.06.04 - Fixed blank/corrupt display when booting dual screen with the first screen detached from desktop. 06.05.06.03 - Fixed a black triangle problem seen with spotlights in Softimage on Wildcat I products. 06.05.06.02 - Fixed wglGetPixelFormatAttribivARB and wglGetPixelFormatAttribfvARB to return the correct pixel type. 06.05.06.01 - Restore PCI configuration space settings when returning from standby or hibernate. - Changed the vendor/version string to indicate the custom driver is configured.
