Introduction to the HOTAS Cougar manual and its authors
-------------------------------------------------------

Howdy and welcome to the HOTAS Cougar Manual! This manual is pretty much identical to the printed manual that ships with the Cougar. It consists of 2 Reference Books combined to form the manual. The first Reference Book, written by Mark Mooney and David Block covers the Thrustmaster Cougar Control Panel (CCP) and the second, written by James Hallows, covers the programming statements. These two Reference Books were brought together by David Rocher who added the introductions to them and the credits, and formatted them to create your final manual.

This document has also been translated into other languages, and those translated manuals are or will shortly be available for downloading. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those translators for their tremendous work - nice one guys ;) This version as well as the translated versions differ slightly from the printed manual in that all known errors to date (1st March 2002) are corrected.

The manual is in Word DOC format. If you do not have Microsoft Word for Windows, then you can download a free viewer from http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/wd97vwr32.aspx

Enjoy your reading!
