The following details the installation of the USB 2.0 driver while installing Windows 98SE
(with the USB 2.0 controller is enabled already).

1. After enabling the USB 2.0 controller, install Windows 98/98SE normally.
2. After installation, go the "Start" menu and choose "Settings."
3. From the "Settings" menu, choose "Control Panel."
4. In the "Control Panel" window, double-click on the "System" icon.
5. In the "System" window, choose the "Device Manager" tab.
6. In the hierarchical display under "Other Devices" is a listing for "PCI Universal Serial
   Bus." Choose it and then press the "Properties" button.
7. Choose the "Driver" tab in the "Properties" window, choose "Update Driver," and then
   press "Next."
8. Choose "Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now (recommended)," 
   then press "Next."
9. Insert the "Bonus CD" in CD-ROM.
10. Choose "Specify a Location," and then type "[CD-ROM]:\Driver\USB2.0" in the text box.
11. Press the "Next" button. A message informing you that Windows has found "AOpen USB
    Enhanced Host Controller" should appear.
12. Press "Next," then "Finish," then "Yes" when asked if you want to restart your
    computer.

Windows 98SE already installed.

1. Enable the USB 2.0 controller and boot Windows.

   Universal Serial Bus."
3. Click on "Next," and from the generated list box, choose "Search for best driver for your 
   device (Recommended)". 
4. Insert the "Bonus CD" in CD-ROM.
5. Click on "Next," and from the generated choices, choose "Specify a location."
6. Type "[CD-ROM]:\Driver\USB2.0" in the text box that appears.
7. Click on "Next." A message informing you that Windows has found "AOpen USB Enhanced Host
   Controller" should appear.
8. Click on "Next," and then on "Finish."
9. Choose "Yes" when asked if you want to restart your computer.

1. Choose "Search for a suitable driver for my device (Recommended)". from the list, and
   then press "Enter". 
2. Choose "Specify a location." and then press "Next"
3. Insert the Bonus CD in CD-ROM.
4. Type "[CD-ROM]:\Driver\USB2.0" in the text box that appears. Press " OK ".
5. Click on "Next." A message informing you that Windows has found "AOpen USB Enhanced
   Host Controller" should appear. 
6. Click on "Next," and then on "Finish."

	Confirming Windows 2000 Installation

1. From Windows 2000, open the Control Panel from "My Computer" followed by the System icon. 
2. Choose the "Hardware" tab, and then click the "Device Manager" tab.

   Controller" should appear.

After enabling the USB 2.0, Windows XP setup will show a "Found New Hardware" dialog box.
Under Windows XP, "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" will be displayed.

1. Click on "Next," and from the generated list box, choose "Install from a list or special
   location (Advanced)", click "Next"
2. Click on "Next," and from the generated choices, choose "Include this location in the
   search:"
3. Insert the Bonus CD in CD-ROM.
4. Type "[CD-ROM]:\Driver\USB2.0" in the text box that appears.
5. Click on "Next." A message informing you that Windows XP has found "AOpen USB Enhanced
   Host Controller" should appear.
6. When the New Hardware Wizard has finished installing the USB driver, click on "Finish"

1. From Windows XP, open the Control Panel from "My Computer". 
2. Click on "Performance and maintenance".
3. Click on the "System" icon.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
