Basic procedure for generating a SDK port for a Gateway
InforManager server

1) Install MegaRAC in the Gateway server. Be sure to attach
   the ribbon cable between the MegaRAC and the server.

2) Run the GetIMR utility and complete the following steps.

   a) The following will be displayed:

   AMI IM Utility - Version 1.0
   For the following, please refer to InforManager Interface Specification
   -----------------------------------------------------------------------

   Enter TXT File Name:
 
   b) Enter IM.txt
   c) The following will be displayed:

   Enter CFG File Name:

   d) Enter IM.cfg
   e) The following will be displayed:

   * The following messages should be displayed
     after program execution.

     Output to file (IM.txt) complete

     Output to file (IM.cfg) complete

     ** PLEASE RESET MEGARAC CARD **

3) Run the Raccfg utility and "Soft Reset" the MegaRAC card.

4) Run the MrSDK utility and complete the following steps.

   a) Click on the "Load Configuration" button
   b) Locate the IM.cfg file and click on the "Open"
      button
   c) Click on the "Exit" button
   f) Type the IM.dat Script File name and click on
      the "Save" button

This completes the basic procedure for generation of a
SDK port for a Gateway InforManager server. Please note
that the MrSDK utility can be used to customize the SDK
port.

Use the Sdkflash utility to flash the new IM.dat SDK
port information into the MegaRAC.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
