Installing the NEC Fast Ethernet Adapter Drivers in a Generic Windows 2000 Environment

1. Right click on My Computer and select Properties.
2. At the System Properties window select the Hardware tab, then click on the Device Manager button.
3. Double click the yellow banged Ethernet Controller under Other devices.
4. At the Ethernet Controller Properties window, select the Driver tab.
5. Click on Update Driver.
6. The Upgrade Device Driver Wizard will appear; click Next.
7. Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device" and click Next.
8. At the next window check the box next to "Specify a location" (uncheck other options). At the following
window enter the location C:\Drivers\Lan\2000\4.01.75.0000\ and click OK.
9. When Windows finds the driver for the device, specified at the location
you just entered, click Next.
10. Windows will then install the drivers. When done, click on Finish.
11. Close the Intel(R) PRO/100+ MiniPCI properties window (by clicking Close).
12. Click OK to close the System Properties Window.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
