  It is possible to control the default settings of a port during installation.
  Files vsserdef.cfg and vspardef.cfg can be used to set parameters for port
  installation. For more read the comment in these files. Under Windows 9x sometimes it fails, 
  when other installer was already registrated.

- All windows versions
  An API to configure VScom specific settings. More information on that will be provided along
  with small SDK. 
  !!! Attantion !!!:
  VsLdCfg_PushToDevice is not implemented yet.

 standard settings allowed only 8 data bits. 
 Porblem corrected

-All windows Versions
 when parity not set correctly at both ends of the channel, no data was sent to application.
 In normal case data, if available, should be marked as bad and sent to applicactio as it is.
 Problem corrected

- Windows Nt
  When working with vspptnt.sys (Mini-port parallel driver) changes of port settings require
  reboot. This is due to Problems in parallel.sys (Microsoft)

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
