   15. Install the LAN Server or Requester program. For information,
       please refer to your IBM LAN Server "Planning and Installation"
       manual.

    2.4 Installation note for IBM LAN SERVER 2.0 users
    --------------------------------------------------
    1. Assuming that OS/2 2.0 is correctly installed and working
       properly, install the LAN SERVER. At this point, no network
       adapters must be installed in the computer.

    2. Install LAN SERVER according to the IBM installation procedure.
       When prompted for the adapter, select any of the adapters
       LAN SERVER supports.
       For example, "Western Digital EtherCard PLUS ...". Then,
       continue with the LAN SERVER installation.

    3. After successfully installing LAN SERVER, shut down OS/2 for
       system configuration. Do not install any network adapters yet.
       The OS/2 system will boot up and bring up the LAN SERVER
       services. The system will then display error messages since
       the network adapter you selected is not installed. Ignore these
       messages and continue with the OS/2 booting procedure.

    4. Insert the driver diskette in drive A or B and copy the following
       files:

       Example:
           C:\>copy  a:\ndis2\os2\de22x.os2 c:\ibmcom\macs
           C:\>copy  a:\ndis2\os2\de22xibm.nif c:\ibmcom\macs

    5. In the OS/2 Desktop group, run the OS/2 system editor. You need
       to modify the following files:

           C:\CONFIG.SYS
           C:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL.INI

         CONFIG.SYS Modifications:

           DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\MACS\MACWD.OS2
           to
           DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\MACS\DE22X.OS2

         PROTOCOL.INI Modifications:

           - Under the [IBMLXCFG] section, add the following line:

                   DE22XIBM_nif = DE22Xibm.nif

           - Under the [NETBEUI_nif] section, change the following line:

                   Bindings = MACWDMC_nif
                   to
                   Bindings = DE22XIBM_nif

           - Under the MAC SECTION definitions, add the following section:

                   [DE22XIBM_nif]
                   DriverName = DE22X$

    6. After modifying the two files above, shut down OS/2, and turn the
       computer off.

    7. Install the DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter.

    8. Turn on the system to start OS/2.

    9. After starting OS/2, LAN SERVER services can now successfully
       start without causing any errors.

    2.5 Installation note for IBM Communication Manager users
    ---------------------------------------------------------

    1. Install IBM Communication Manager
    2. Copy the DE22X.OS2 and DE22XIBM.NIF files in the driver diskette
       to the C:\IBMCOM\MACS directory
       Example:
                C:\>copy a:\ndis2\os2\de22x.os2 c:\ibmcom\macs
                C:\>copy a:\ndis2\os2\de22xibm.nif c:\ibmcom\macs
    3. Select the D-Link DE-220 Family Ethernet Adapter
    4. Choose the appropriate protocols
    5. Check that the CONFIG.SYS file includes the following line:

                DEVICE = C:\IBMCOM\MACS\DE22X.OS2

    6. Shut down your OS/2 system, and then reboot your PC
