5. Release notes
5.1 ELSA.INI entries

file ELSA.INI. Normally you will need to reboot your machine to
mak this settings working.
Most of this entries will set by ELSA tools and don't need to
modify manually.

6. Known Bugs and Operating Notes
This section documents known anomalies or problems and gives
hints on work arounds.
6.1 Version 4.03.00.2102
6.1.1 Changing color depth with QuickRes
If QuickRes changes the color depth without restarting Windows,
sometime you can see drawing errors. QuickRes patches (!) the
display driver, so the driver can no longer work properly.
6.1.2 Display errors with DirectX
Applications using DirectX could cause display errors when
DirectX version I or II is installed. Please install DirectX
version III to solve this problems. This version of DirectX you
will find on the WINNERware CD in the directory ELSAWARE\DIRECTX3
6.2 Version 4.03.2103
6.2.1 LapLink 7.5 and Remote Control
To use the feature Remote Control, the usage of device bitmaps
must be disabled. Insert the line DeviceBitmaps=0 in the
section [Settings] of the file ELSA.INI.
6.3 Version 4.03.2104
6.3.1 ELSA POWERlib and Software-Cursor
Using the ELSA POWERlib with software cursor (color cursor,
Mouse Trails) makes the system hanging up.
This will be fixed in a later release.
