******************IMPORTANT******************

Secure-D software operates only on Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating systems.

Secure-D software will not operate on Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition (ME).

Secure-D software allows you to password-protect private files on your USB flash drive. Using Secure-D, you can divide the USB drive into two different areas, or zones, public and private. The public zone automatically appears when you insert the USB drive into a USB port. The public zone is accessible to anyone who uses the drive. The private zone is only accessible through the Secure-D program. No one can open, copy, or write files to it without first entering the password.

REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD! When using the Secure-D software, it is important to remember your password. If you forget your password, you will lose all data on your USB drive. Additionally, the USB drive must be returned to the manufacturer to be re-set.

BACK UP YOUR DATA! Back up your data before adjusting the zones of the USB drive. Whenever you use the Secure-D software to create or change the size of the zones, all existing information on the drive is overwritten, or erased. If you plan to use public and private zones on the USB drive, you should install Secure-D and create the zones before you save information on the drive. If you’ve already saved information on the USB drive, and you want to create zones, save the existing contents elsewhere first, then copy the information back onto the drive.

BACK UP THE SETUP.EXE FILE! You should always keep a backup copy of the SETUP.EXE file in case you accidentally delete it from the USB drive. Copy the file to the local drive before you begin the initial installation of the software. After you've completed the initial installation, copy the SETUP.EXE back to the USB drive's public zone. If you want to access the private zone on another system, you must install the Secure-D software on that system.

2.	Open the USB drive using Windows Explorer and copy the SETUP.EXE file onto the system to back up the SETUP.EXE file.

3.	Go back to the USB drive in Windows Explorer and double-click SETUP.EXE to start the Installer, and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process.
