  *** Warning: 
      1) Before you install your monitor, please verify the correct monitor model name.
         If this is not selected correctly, the host pc can not display the monitor as best 
         fresh rate and display resolution.
	 You can see the correct monitor name at front or back label of monitor. 
     

1.Windows XP Monitor Installation Procedure			

 1)Manual Install Procedure					

    > Click Start,  then Control Panel.

    > Start the "Display" applet program. 

    > Select the "Settings" page and select the "Advanced Properties" button.

    > Select the "Monitor" page.

    > Press the "Attribute" button.
     
    > Select the "Driver"  page.

    > Press the "Update Driver..." button.

    > Select the "Install(Advanced) at the list or specific location" from the begining page of the hardware update wizard.
    
    > Press the "Next" button.

    > No search. Click the "Select the Driver for installing in person" 

    > Press the "Next" button
 
    > Press the "Have Disk..." button.

    > Specify the path to the INF file and press the "OK" button

    > When the message says "Digital signature is not done" then press "Continue" button.

2.Windows 2000 Monitor Installation Procedure			

 1)Manual Install Procedure					

    > Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.

    > Start the "Display" applet program. 

    > Select the "Settings" page and select the "Advanced Properties" button.

    > Select the "Monitor" page.

    > Press the "Properties" button.
     
    > Select the "Driver"  page.

    > Press the "Update Driver..." button.

    > Press the "Next" button.

    > Select the "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a 
                   specific driver" and press the "Next" button.
    
    > Press the "Have Disk..." button.

    > Specify the path to the INF file and press the "OK" button

          Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive,
                     and enter A:\.

          Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied
                     the INF file, either on your local hard drive or
                     on a network share.

          Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is,
                     choose the "Browse..." button to find it.

    > Select the monitor model that corresponds to the one you connected to your 
      computer and press "Next" button.

    > Press the "Next" button.

    > Press the "Yes" button.

    > Windows 2000 will copy the INF file and the ICM Profile to the proper
      directory on your system.

    > Press the "Finish" button.
      
    > Continue choosing "Close" button and "OK" button  until you close 
      the Display Properties dialog box.
      (You can get some other screen for warning message or others,then
       click the appreciate option for your monitor)

3.Windows 98 Monitor Installation Procedure	 
  
 1)Manual Install Procedure					

    > Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.

    > Start the "Display" applet program. 

    > Select the "Settings" page and select the "Advanced Properties" button.

    > Select the "Monitor" button.

    > Select the "Change" button in the "Monitor Type" area.
     
    > Click the "Have Disk" button.

    > Specify the path to the INF file and press the <ENTER> key:

          Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive,
                     and enter A:\.

          Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied
                     the INF file, either on your local hard drive or
                     on a network share.

          Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is,
                     choose the "Browse..." button to find it.

    > The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Choose "Show all devices"
      Select the monitor that corresponds to the one you connected to your 
      computer and click OK.

    > Windows 98 will copy the INF file and the ICM Profile to the proper
      directory on your system.
      
    > Continue choosing "Close" button and "O.K" button  until you close 
      the Display Properties dialog box.
      (You can get some other screen for warning message or others,then
       click the appreciate option for your monitor)

4.Windows 95 Monitor Installation Procedure			*/

 1)Manual Install Procedure					
     
    > Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.

    > Start the "Display" applet program. 

    > Select the "Settings" page and select the "Change Display Type" button.
	
    * Note : If "Advanced Properties" appears on this "Settings" window,
	 	 use the instructions for Windows 98.

    > Select the "Change" button in the "Monitor Type" area.

    > Select the "Have Disk" button and press "OK".

    > Specify the path to the INF file and press the <ENTER> key:

          Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive,
                     and enter A:\.

          Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied
                     the INF file, either on your local hard drive or
                     on a network share.

          Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is,
                     choose the "Browse..." button to find it.

    > The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Choose "Show all devices"
      Select the monitor that corresponds to the one you connected to your 
      computer and click OK.
    
    > Continue choosing "Close" button until you close the Display 
	Properties dialog box.
	* Note : Reboot the system to use the new driver.

5.Windows NT Monitor Installation Procedure
 
  <WindowNT  Display Monitor setting procedure>

   > Select Control panel by clicking first twice My Computer and 
     then twice the Control Panel. 

   > In Control panel click Display icon twice. 

   > Click "Settings". 

   > Click "Display Type". 

   > Click "Change", if You want to change the Display adapter type. 

   > In the Manufacturers box select the model that matches your hardware 
      (refer to the manufacturer specification if you need help). 
      If your graphics adapter vendor is not listed insert the disk and 
       click "Have Disc" or contact Your graphic card manufacturer. 

   > Click "OK" and follow instructions on the screen. 

   > After the Display Adapter has been installed properly click "Close" 
      to exit Display Type screen. 

   > In the Display properties screen Select wanted Desktop Area 
     and the amount of colors in the Color Palette box. For possible 
      alternatives refer to the monitor specification in the User's manual. 

   > Click "Refresh frequency" to change it. 
     For possible Refresh rates refer to the monitor specification in the 
     User's manual. 

   > Select e.g. 60Hz , 70Hz , 75 Hz. 

   > Click "TEST" to test the display. 

   > Click "OK" and the test screen appears. 

   > If You saw the test bitmap correctly press "Yes" , otherwise "No". 

   > If you have changed the adapter settings you have to restart the computer 
     before settings will take effect.

6. Linux Monitor Installation Procedure

 1)Linux Install Procedure					

   In order to execute the X-window, you have to make the XF86Config file which is 
   the system setup file. Your monitor also can setup through this file.
   Also this file is generated by executing the XF86config.

   > After execute the xf86config, press "Enter" at first and second display.

   > At third display, you can see the display of installation of mouse

   > At this time you have to setup your mouse according to your mouse hardware

   > And next display is the installation of Keyboard.

   > You have to setup your keyboard according to your keyboard.

   > From now on , the monitor installation will be come out.

   > At first, you have to setup the Horizontal frequency. Select the number which you want to setup.
     And also you can type the frequency directly.  See monitor user's manual.

   > And then you have to setup the Vertical frequency. following is the same as Horizontal frequency.

   > Type the name of monitor. This name is not related to X-window execution.

   > Now the monitor setup is completed

   > Complete the other hardware setup.

   > If you complete all hardware setup, save the configuration file.

   > Now execute the X-window.
     Even though you setup all above procedure, the X-Window can't run.
     If the X-window doesn't run properly, you have modify the x86config file as follows.

    < Linux Modification Items >

   >  Replace the "#" with the value of Bandwidth refer to user's manual

   >  Modify the other additional hardware modification.

   >  At last, you have to select the video mode.

   >  Now run the X-Window.


 2)Monitor Installation Tip

    The related the document is located at dm/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/doc/Video Mode.doc and read the "readme.txt".

    >Horizontal Sync. Frequency (Unit Khz)
      This is the Dot Line per 1 seconds. And if you setting the H-Frequency incorrectly, it causes to make the 
      problem at monitor hardware. you have to set the H-Frequency correctly.

    >Vertical Sync Frequency(Refresh Rate,  Unit Hz)
      This is the frame number per 1seconds. And if you setting the V-Frequency incorrectly, it cause to make flicker.
      If you work long time with this stituation, your eye will be tired. In order to reduce this problem,
      you have to increase the V-Frequency  up to 70Hz. 

    >Dot Clock (Bandwidth)
      This is indicate the speed of Video Signal.

    >ModeLine Data Detail
	ModeLine "640x400"   25.175	640 664 760 800 400 409 411 450 -hsync +vsync
	640x480 --> Resolution
        25.175  --> Dot Clock(MHz)

    >Using the monitor installation diskette
        - Open the Xf86Config file with Linux Editor.
        - Move to [Monitor] Section.
        - After you select the monitor model in your install diskette, copy the data of HorizSync and VertRefresh
          to XF86Config.
        - Disable the resolution using the "#" at ModeLine.
          And after you select the monitor model in your install diskette, copy the data of ModeLine to XF86Config.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
