1. Introduction:

   This Boot ROM is optional and can be ordered sepoerately. With it a
   remote station can boot up form Microsoft Windows NT system.

2. Installation:

   * Client

     Before setting up the Boot ROM functions, it should be installed into
     the ROM socket on the card. Beware the notch on the ROM should be
     carefully aligned with the notch on the socket in the same direction.
     Refer to the manual accompanied with your card for more information
     on Boot ROM hardware settings.

   * Server:

     1) Make sure if the 100M Ethernet Card is installed successfully
	using DIAG.EXE.

     2) From your Windows NT server, select "Control Panel" form Main
	group, and then select "Network".

     3) When the Network panel appears, select "Add Software", "DLC
	Protocol", and "Remote Boot Service".

     4) Select "Control Panel" and then "Service" to enable the Remote-
	Boot service.

	If you want to perform remote booting automatically, the Start-
	up should be set as "Automatic".

     5) Enable the directory \WINNT\RPL\RPLFILES as shareable.

     6) At the DOS prompt type as follows:

	   net use [drive:] \\[remote_servername]\RPLFILES

	For example:
	   net use v: \\server\RPLFILES

     7) Copy all the files under \DOS to the directory \binfiles\dosxxx
	on your NT server.

	For example:

	   copy c:\dos\*.* v:\binfiles\dos622
	   attrib -s -h c:\io.sys
	   attrib -s -h c:\msdos.sys
	   copy c:\io.sys v:\binfiles\dos622
	   copy c:\msdos.sys v:\binfiles\dos622
	   attrib +s +h c:\io.sys
	   attrib +s +h c:\msdos.sys

	Note: If you are using IBM PC-DOS, you should rename IBMIO.SYS
	      and IBMDOS.SYS to IO.SYS and MSDOS.SYS.

     8) Start "Remote Manager" in the Network Administration group.

     9) At the DOS prompt, copy the files from the \BOOTROM directory
	of the Ethernet Driver Disk to your local disk.

    10) At the DOS prompt, run RPLCMD.EXE to add "Boot", "Config" and
	"Vendor".

      Example:
	. Copy Adapter Driver diskette A:\NDIS\DOS\DC21X4.DOS to
	  C:\WINNT35x\RPL\BBLOCK\NDIS directory.
	. Create Directory C:\WINNT\RPL\BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DC21X4
	. Copy A:\BOOTROM\DOSBB.CNF C:\WINNT\RPL\BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DC21X4
	. Copy A:\BOOTROM\PROTOCOL.INI C:\WINNT\RPL\BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DC21X4
	. Use RPLCMD utility to add a Boot Block for the new adapter.
	  Example:
		C:\WINNT\RPLx> RPLCMD
		Adapter Boot Config Profile Service Vendor Wksta [Quit]: b
		Add Del Enum: a
		BootName=DOSY
		VendorName=004095
		BbcFile=BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DC21X4\DOSBB.CNF
			All other parameters are optional
		BootComment= 100M Ethernet CARD
		WindowsSize=0
		Adapter Boot Config Profile Service Vendor Wksta [Quit]: c

		ConfigName=DOS622Y
		BootName=DOSY
		DirName=DOS
		DirName2=DOS622
		FitShared=fits\dos622.fit
		FitPersonal=fits\dos622p.fit

		DirName3=
		DirName4=
