PC Software Version 2.0

For technical assistance please call Technical Support at (408) 370-9963.

Installation Requirements

* Videoncs CommandPost controller hardware.
* PC with built in USB port or PCI USB card (this unit will not
work with a USB - Serial adapter.)
* Windows 98 or Windows 2000 (NT has no built in USB support)
* Minimum 16-bit video card.
* Standard USB cable.
* Minimum 5 Megabytes of available hard disk space.

New in 2.0

* A major change in CommandPost 2.0 is that it incorporates an API
(Application Programmer's Interface) in it's software component. The
advantage here is that application programmers can now create custom
uses for CommandPost's unique controls within their application in
addition to the normal keystrokes only control currently within
CommandPost. The end user will be able to experience the added
control the API brings to CommandPost in upcoming versions of their
favorite application.

* When a button on the CommandPost control panel is assigned to a
mouse click, there is now an indicator on the button within the
CommandPost application, which alerts the user to this.

* The jog/shuttle-programming interface inside the CommandPost
application now features a new look.

* The calibration sequence of the T-bar and joystick when first
loading CommandPost is now brought up on re-boot and guides the user
through it.

* By double-clicking a Pause value in the Keystroke Entry Box, it is
possible to edit it.

* Mouse button click assignments are now designated on a per keyset
basis. You still need to open the preference window if you want to
assign a mouse click to a button. The joystick button is always
assigned as a mouse-click, but you now get to designate it double or
single click on a per keyset basis also.
