Please regard! This update is for the ND5040 only. Do not try to install it on another camera!

Solution for:
- solves problems with the incorrect display of the exposure time on the internal display
- when pressing the shutter release halfway in, the fokus will be kept, as long as you hold the button

If you own a PC with a cardreader, please follow this instructions:
1. Save the firmware, that has been sent to you, to a folder of your choice
2. Make sure the camera is connected to your AC adaptor, and the adaptor is plugged in
3. Insert the SD-card in the cardreader in your PC
4. Copy image.bin to root directory of SD card (the name must be 'image.bin')
5. Switch the camera to 'Auto'- mode
6. Put the SD-card in the camera
7. Switch on the camera
8. If the update is successful, the camera display will flash. Wait 15 seconds.
9. Remove the AC adaptor and wait 15 seconds.
10. Remove the SD card from the camera
11. Plug in the AC adaptor to the camera
12. Switch on the camera
13. Put the SD card into the camera. In the upper right corner, the SD symbol will appear
14. Press the replay button
15. Now press the menu button
16. From the menu, select "Erease" and confirm by pressing the OK button
17. In the submenu, select "Format card" and confirm by pressing the OK button
18. Confirm the next query with by selecting "Yes" and then press the OK button
19. The firmware has been ereased, you can continue using the camera

13. Plug in the AC adaptor to the camera
14. Switch on the camera
15. Put the SD card into the camera. In the upper right corner, the SD symbol will appear

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
