1. File Description

2. Driver Installation for Windows XP Embedded
---------------------------------------------------------------
    
    a. Copy netipf.inf, ipfnd51.sys and ip100snt.cat to C:\IP100Rep.
    
    b. Copy netipf.sld to C:\IP100SLD.
    
    c. Using Windows Embedded XP Component Database Manager, import 
        the .sld file (netipf.sld) into your database.When importing 
        to the database ensure the default, "Copy repository files 
        to repository" checkbox, is checked.
       
    d. In the Windows Embedded XP Target Designer:
        Under hardware->devices->Network Adapters, add the network 
        adapter you'd like to include in your image
        Example: IC Plus IP100 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter
	     
    e. Build and Install your OS image according to the instructions 
        provided with the Microsoft embedded XP Target Designer.

3. Parameter Description
---------------------------------
   - Open 'Device Manager' in "Start" -> "Control Pannel" ->
     "System"  Select "Hardware" and click "Device Manager".
     Double click "IC Plus IP100 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter", Select 
     "Advanced" item.
     
     Connection Type  Specify the connection type for the adapter.
                                   Default: Auto-Sense

     Network Address  Set the Ethernet address for your adapter. 
                                 It is not recommended to use this. 
                                   Default: read address from adapter ROM.

     No Cable             Set the indication function of "No Cable".
     Indication	  Default : Disabled

     Receive Buffers	Set the number of Receive Buffers Descriptors
                                  Default : 96
     
     Transmit Buffers  Set the number of Transmit Buffers Descriptors
                                  Default : 96

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
