How do I install the new WLAN driver?

Before installing the new driver, uninstall the currend driver as follow:

1. Click Start|Control Panel|Add or Remove Programs
2. Select "ASUS WLAN Card Utilities/Drivers" from the list
3. Click "Change/Remove"
4. Select "Remove all installed components"
5. Click "Next"
6. Confirm the message "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its components?"
7. If you recieve the message "Shared File Detected" select "Don´t display this message again" and click "Yes"
8. When uninstall is finished restart your computer
9. After restart you get "Found new Hardware Wizard" - select "Cancel" to stop installation

To install the new WLAN driver:

1. Execute the new driver-file
2. Confirm the message "ASUS WL138g Driver 2.2.0.20 + NAV04fix" with OK
3. Confirm all upcomming windows with Next
4. Click Finish to restart the computer
5. After reboot the new drivers are installed

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
