Readme for PCI ISDN Card under Win2000

1.      Alterations against manual:
-----------------------------------

1.1     Updating from previous version:

Please run SETUP2K.EXE to check the system for previous installed
version of PCI ISDN Card. If previous version is detected 
please follow the instructions given by the setup program. 
The setup program will uninstall previous version first. After rebooting 
the PC Windows will detect the PCI ISDN Card hardware again. 
Then please run installation as described in the manual.

Hint:
"Update Driver" function from Windows control panel is not supported.


1.2     a-law/µ-law switch:

a-law/µ-law selection is made automatically by selected
D-Channel protocol. You may override this automatic selection by
using this configuration switch.
To change this setting open the device manager class 'Network adapters' 
and display the properties of 'PCI ISDN Card'.
Switch to the 'Advanced' tab on the property pages and
select 'a/b Speech coding'. Change the value to your needs.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
