How to upgrade TSST ODD firmware

1. Extract the files contained in the ZIP archive to a temporary folder (e.g. C:\Update) on a LOCAL hard disk drive.

2. Run "Sfdnwin.exe". A pop-up window will appear. you can see your Optical Disc-
drive(s) in the Pop-up window. Then choose the drive whose firmware you want to upgrade. (Drive: TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SDM2012C)

3. You will see three icons on the top from left. 
If you click the first icon from left, you can see "Investigation window"  then open 
the firmware "TU010412.bin" file that you already extracted to the temporary folder (e.g. C:\Update).

4. You will see the message" Ready" after finding the firmware file that you want. 
Then click the middle icon on the top of left. Your firmware will be upgraded 
automatically.

5. When you have finished upgrading the firmware, your pc will reboot automatically.



Anleitung zum Firmware-Update

1. Entpacken Sie die Dateien des ZIP Archives in einen temporären Ordner (z.B. C:\Update) auf einer lokalen Festplatte.

2. Führen Sie die Datei "Sfdnwin.exe" aus. Es öffnet sich ein Fenster. In diesem Fenster sehen Sie die optischen Laufwerke.
Wählen Sie nun das TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SDM2012C Laufwerk aus. 

3. Sie sehen oben links drei Symbole. Klicken Sie das erste Symbol an. Sie sehen das "Investigation Window". Öffnen Sie die Firmwaredatei "TU010412.bin",
welche Sie in den temporären Ordner (z.B. C:\Update) entpackt haben.

4. Wurde die korrekte Firmware ausgewählt, sehen Sie die Nachricht "Ready". Jetzt klicken Sie links oben 
das mittlere Symbol an. Das Update wird automatisch durchgeführt.

5. Nach dem Firmwareupdate startet das System automatisch neu.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
