*** ARTOP ATP8400a PCI/VL_BUS IDE cache controller WIN95 driver

1. INSTALLING Windows95 Miniport driver
---------------------------------------

* ATP8400A.MPD is designed for Microsoft Windows95 miniport drivers.
  This driver allows connection of IDE devices (which support by Microsoft)


  (1) When Win95 setup finish, please select the "My Computer"
      Please follow the step.

                          choose
                      Control panel
                            |
                 select  " Add new hardware"
                            |
                 select  " Next "
                            |
                 select  "  NO  "
                            |
                 select  " SCSI controller "
                            |
                 select  " Have Disk "
                            |
           Please put the ATP8400a device driver diskette in A:\
           to the A:\WIN95 prompt, then the screen file name will
           appear " ATP8400a.inf ", press "OK"
                            |
                 Then press "OK" again (see****ATTENTION****)
                            |
          then the screen will appear
          Model: Artop ATP8400 PCI IDE CACHE controller
          When choose OK, please select finish and restart the Windows95


  (2) Finish the above install procedure you will see the ATP8400a driver in
      the" control panel/system " icon. Then the ATP8400a Windows95 IDE
      driver install complete.


  ****ATTENTION****
  After select the "ATP8400A.inf" in the diskette, the screen will appear the icons for win95 suggest the IO port and IRQ; this IO port and IRQ may be different with you setting by hardware. You don't care for this different.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
