Description :
     ATP850U.MPD is the miniport driver for Microsoft Windows 95.
     This driver allows the connection of IDE and ATAPI devices.


DOS environment :
      If HDD or CD_ROM is installed on card AEC-6210UF.

      a. insert AEC-6210UF driver diskette to drive A:
      b. execute INSTALL.EXE to copy AEC-6210UF drivers to HDD,
	 then select the box [ ] to confirm the appropriate driver.
	 the following 2 command lines would be added to file config.sys
	 automatically.

	 DEVICE=C:\AEC6210U\850CD.SYS /D:MSCD001       <-- for CD_ROM use
	 DEVICE=C:\AEC6210U\850HD.SYS		       <-- for HDD use

      c. The following line will be add to file autoexec.bat also.

	 MSCDEX /D:MSCD001

      d. reboot the computer, the HDD & CD_ROM would be available.



Installing Windows 95 driver :
   1. If card AEC-6210UF is to be installed after Windows 95 was installed

      a. power off the PC, plug the card AEC-6210UF to a slot
      b. power on the PC
	 in booting, Windows 95 would detect the card AEC-6210UF,
	 then refer to the following steps

	 (1) New Hardware Found
	     Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer

	     --> insert AEC_6210UF driver diskette to drive A:
	     --> press < OK >

	 (2) Install from disk

	     --> press < Browse >
	     --> select directory "A:\WIN95"
	     --> press < OK >

	     Windows 95 would load the driver automatically.


   2. Change Driver (update driver) :
      If you want to change AEC-6210UF driver, refer to the following steps.

	    select items sequentially

	    < My Computer >
	    < Control Panel >
	    < System >
	    < Device Manager >
	    < Hard Disk Controller >
	    < ACARD AEC-6210UF PCI Bus Master Ultra IDE Controller >
	    < Driver >
	    < Change Driver >

     At the moment, insert the newest AEC-6210UF driver diskette to drive A:
     press <Browse>, then select directory "A:\WIN95",
     file ATP870U.INF would be selected.

     then press "OK",......
     Windows 95 would install the newest AEC-6210UF driver to the system.



Installing Windows NT 3.51 driver :

      a. power off the PC, plug the card AEC-6210UF to the slot
      b. power on the PC, refer to the following steps.

	    select items as following

	    < Main >
	    < Windows NT Setup >	     -->  press  < Option >
	    < Add/Remove SCSI Adapters >     -->  press  < Add >, then < OK >
	    < Select SCSI Adapter Option >   -->  select < OTHER >
					     -->  press  < Install >

     At the moment, insert the newest AEC-6210UF driver diskette to drive A:
     then type in directory "A:\WINNT",

     then press < OK >,......
     Windows NT would install the newest AEC-6210UF driver to the system.



Installing Windows NT 4.00 driver :

      a. power off the PC, plug the card AEC-6210UF to the slot
      b. power on the PC, refer to the following steps.

	    select items as following

	    < My Computer >
	    < Control Panel >
	    < SCSI Adapters >
	    < Drivers >
	    < Have Disk >

     At the moment, insert the newest AEC-6210UF driver diskette to drive A:
     to press <Browse>, then select directory A:\WINNT,

     then press < OPEN >, "OK",......
     Windows NT would install the newest AEC-6210UF driver to the system.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
