Obtaining UNIX drivers for the EtherExpress(TM) PRO/100B LAN Adapter

independent software vendor (ISV), unless otherwise noted.

Release schedules included in this file are based on the latest
information available and are subject to change. All dates are estimated
for the calendar year.  Products listed are trademarks of the

      The EtherExpress(TM) PRO/100B adapter driver for NeXTStep r4.0 is
      available and supported by NeXT Computer.  Driver is available in
      NeXTanswer #2109.

      UnixWare* Version 1.1: The PRO/100B adapter does not have driver
      support for this operating system.
      UnixWare Version 2.x: The drivers for the PRO/100B adapter is
      available from SCO. The file name is TLS60 which is available in
      the Technical Library Supplement.
      Open DeskTop 3.0: The LLI driver is available from SCO.  The file
      name is TLS095 which is available in Technical Library Supplement.
      Open Server Release 5.0: The MDI driver is available from SCO.  It
      is available in Technical Library Supplement TLS595.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
