10/100 FastEthernet PC Card Driver for RedHat 7.0 with
PCMCIA-cs-3.1.19 Installation How-to:
  1. When inserted 10/100 FastEthernt PC Card,
     then show an error message that "unable to read hardware
     net address for io bass 0X300". Please according to the
     below scheme to install correct driver.
     Otherwise, use default driver.

  2. Login as root.
  
  3. Copy lna100.o into /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/pcmcia/
	"cp lna100.o /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/pcmcia/"

  4. Copy config.lna100n into /etc/pcmcia/
	"cp config.lna100n /etc/pcmcia/"

  5. Use vi editor to append the following line into
     /etc/pcmcia/config-
	
	source ./config.lna100n

* 6. Will /etc/pcmcia/config modify following lines 
     ,mark two lines 
              
     #  device "pcnet_cs"
     #  class "network" module "net/8390, "pcnet_cs"
     
     Because two lines are conflicted , so must be marked .
     
     
 
  7. Restart the cardmgr-
	
        "/etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia restart"

  8. Logoff root.

How To Update Drivers Manually

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
