Memory Plus Expansion Adapter Driver (250-2062) This driver enables the TANDY 1000 EX and 1000 HX computers to utilize the additional 128K of memory on the Memory PLUS Expansion Adapter as a RAM disk. This disk contains the following files-- DISKNEM.SYS README.TXT In order to obtain a printout of this README.TXT file, insert this disk in Drive A, make sure that your printer is switched on, is on line, and at the C:\> prompt, type the following command-- PRINT A:README.TXT and press <Enter>. INSTALLATION 1. Start up your computer, with the MS-DOS disk in Drive A. 2. At the A:\> prompt, type EDLIN CONFIG.SYS and press <Enter>. 3. Type 1I and press <Enter>. 4. At the 1:* prompt, type DEVICE=DISKMEM.SYS and press <Enter>. 5. Press <CTRL>-<BREAK>. 6. Press <E> and <Enter>. The A:\> prompt will be displayed on the screen. 7. Insert this disk in Drive B. If it is a computer with one drive, replace the MS-DOS disk in Drive A with this disk. 8. In a two drive computer, type COPY B:DISKMEM.SYS A: and press <Enter>. For a single-drive computer, with this DISKMEM disk in Drive A, type COPY A:DISKMEM.SYS B: and press <Enter>. Respond accordingly to the prompts to switch disks. 9. After DISKMEM.SYS is copied to the MS-DOS Disk, restart your computer. When booting, a message which indicates that the RAM Disk is installed is displayed. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
