This installation assumes that the PC Card drivers are working
properly. Please consult INST_DOS.TXT for help with PC Card
Drivers. Getting Started will describe the installation
instructions.
Getting Started

* Two alternatives to enable the Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter: *
* 1. Modify CONFIG.SYS *

* Add the following two lines to the CONFIG.SYS file *

* DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D000-D7FF *
* DEVICE=<PATH>\ENEP16.EXE /iop=300 /irq=3 *
* ; <PATH> is a directory that includes the ENEP16.EXE *

* 2. Issue an executive file: *

First time installation from the install menu
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Start the NetWare Server.
> CD \NWSERVER
> SERVER
Execute "LOAD INSTALL" after booting up. Type:
LOAD INSTALL
Select "Driver options", -> "Configure network drivers", and
-> "Select a driver".
Press <Insert> key to install an unlisted driver.
Please insert release driver diskette into floppy disk.
Press <F3> to specify a different <PATH>. <PATH> is directory
which include both EP16.LAN and EP16.LDI
Ex. A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411
Select "EP16.LAN ....".
Select "Save parameters and load driver" after configuring adpter
setting.
NetWare server will loading/binding driver automatically.
Specify "I/O port" and "Interrupt number" while NetWare server is
loading the driver, and these values should be consistent with the
values set by ENEP16.EXE.
After the driver has been loaded, check whether all the frame types
you want are specified for this driver in AUTOEXEC.NCF.
The other time installation from the install menu

Start the NetWare Server.
> CD \NWSERVER
> SERVER
Execute "LOAD INSTALL" after booting up. Type:
LOAD INSTALL
Select "Driver options", -> "Configure network drivers", and
-> "Select a driver".
Select "EP16.LAN ...." in Select a driver window.
Select "Save parameters and load driver" after configuring adpter
setting.
NetWare server will loading/binding driver automatically.
Specify "I/O port" and "Interrupt number" while NetWare server is
loading the driver, and these values should be consistent with the
values set by ENEP16.EXE.
After the driver has been loaded, check whether all the frame types

Modifying an existing NetWare 4.11 Server
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Make a sub-directory NLMS.OLD under NWSERVER directory.
Ex. >MD \NWSERVER\NLMs.OLD
Save MSM.NLM, ETHERTSM.NLM to NLMS.OLD
sub-directory.
Please insert release driver diskette into floppy disk.
Copy all provided NLM and LAN files into your dos directory
which include SERVER.EXE.
>COPY <PATH>\*.* C:\NWSERVER
<PATH> here is the directory where support NLMs and
EP16.LAN reside.
Ex. >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\EP16.LAN C:\NWSERVER
>COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\EP16.LDI C:\NWSERVER
>COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\MSM.NLM C:\NWSERVER
>COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW411\ETHERTSM.NLM C:\NWSERVER
Start the NetWare Server.
> CD \NWSERVER
> SERVER
From the Novell Server side, execute "LOAD INSTALL". Type:
LOAD INSTALL
Select <NCF files options>
Select <Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF file>
Add below item into the server's AUTOEXEC.NCF file.
LOAD C:\NWSERVER\MSM.NLM
LOAD C:\NWSERVER\ETHERTSM.NLM
LOAD C:\NWSERVER\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_802.3
NAME=EP16_1_E83
BIND IPX EP16_1_E83 NET=xxxx
LOAD C:\NWSERVER\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2
NAME=EP16_1_E82
BIND IPX EP16_1_E82 NET=xxxx
LOAD C:\NWSERVER\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_II
NAME=EP16_1_EII
BIND IPX EP16_1_EII NET=xxxx
LOAD C:\NWSERVER\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_SNAP
NAME=EP16_1_ESP
BIND IPX EP16_1_ESP NET=xxxx
Note: the PORT and INT parameters should be set as the values
which are set by ENEP16.EXE.
Restart the server again.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
