Release Notes for CX5530 Win2000 Audio Driver Version Comment ####### ############################################################################### 5.00.1959.1 1) The build number does not meet the PC98 requierments, however, it is what is assigned by the Win2k DDK. This issue must be researched an resolved. 2) There is no MPU401 driver for this version of the driver. This will be fixed in a future build. 3) There is a BIOS problem which causes WaveIn to fail. That is why the ACT test fails sometimes. This driver should pass ACT once the BIOS problem has been fixed. All of the WaveOut tests pass. The WaveIn tests will pass if you run them individually. 4) There is no mixer support for AC97 features. This will be in a future build. 5) Driver conditionally passes ACT 4.1. See ACTnotes.txt for details. Wrap-up file is ctwrap. 6) Driver is intended for Win2000 build 1960. Any other build may not work.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
