GigaNIX1000 Installation Disk The CD-ROM contains driver support for several operating systems. The directories are listed below for each OS. Asante_NT_Driver This directory contains driver support for both Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000. Asante_NT_Driver\OEMSETUP.INF Setup file used by Windows NT 4 installer. Asante_NT_Driver\NT4 Drivers for Windows NT 4. Asante_NT_Driver\w2k Drivers for Windows 2000. Asante_Linux_Support This directory contains tar images to support the Linux OS. Asante_Linux_Driver\Asante-redhat-binary.tar Gzipped Tar file containing a pre-compiled driver for the Red Hat distribution of the Linux OS. Asante_Linux_Driver\Asante-src.tar Gzipped Tar file containing the source for the Linux OS driver to be used on a variety of distributions. Asante_Mac_OS_X_Server This directory contains support for the Apple Mac OS X Server operating system. Asante_Mac_OS_X_Server\GigaNIX1000.pkg Installation Package set to be used by the Mac OS X Server installer.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
