Shutdown the computer and plug the Asante FRN695/696 PCI Adapter into the PCI slot. 2. After starting Windows ME, the "Asante Technologies, Inc. FriendlyNET 695 10/100 PCI Adapter" will be detected automatically, then the Add New Hardware Wizard window appears. 3. Insert the Asante FriendlyNET 695 10/100 PCI Adapter installation diskette into drive A: 4. Select the "Automatic search for a better driver(Recommended)", radio button, then click the "Next" button. 5. The Windows ME will start to search A: drive for network driver. 6. Type A:\WINME and click "OK" button. 7. Windows starts to copy the Asante FriendlyNET 695 10/100 PCI Adapter driver to the user's hard disk. 8. Click "Finish" button when windows has finished installing the new hardware device. 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
