Location of Driver: \WIN2K\AON325.SYS Contents of the Subdirectory: ============================= AON325.SYS The NDIS5 driver for Windows 2000. AON325.INF The installation information file. Installation: ============= Before starting with the installation process, make sure that the adapter is properly installed and configured. 1.If Windows 2000 has built the driver for AON-325, when you plug the AON-325 in the mother board and power on the Windows 2000, the Window 2000 will install the driver of AON-325 automatically. You will see there is an item: "Realtek RTL8139(A)-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" in the 'Network adapters' list in the Device Manager. The Device Manager can be invoked by choosing Start\Control Panel \System\Hardware (Tag)\Device Manager (button) We recommend you to install the updated driver from the distributing disk by performing step 3 ~ 11. 2.If Windows 2000 has not built the driver for AON-325, obey step 5 ~ 11 to install the driver. 3.Invoke the Device Manager. Right click the item "Realtek RTL8139(A)-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" in the 'Network adapters' list, and choose Properties. There will prompt the AOpen AON-325 10/100M Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter Properties window. 4.Click the Driver tag, and choose the 'Update Driver' button. There wll prompt a Upgrade Device Driver Wizard window. Click 'Next'. 5.The Wizard will ask you What do you want the wizard to do? Please choose Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver. Click 'Next', it will prompt a 'Select Network Adapter' window. 6.Click 'Have Disk'. In 'Install From Disk' window, type the following path in the combo list: A:\WIN2K Click 'OK'. 7.There will show "AOpen AON-325 10/100M Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" in the 'Network Adapter' field. Click 'Next'. 8.There will show "AOpen AON-325 10/100M Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" in 'Start Device Driver Installation' window. Click 'Next'. 9.Windows 2000 will copy the driver and system files for the network. If there prompts a Digital Signature Not Found window, please click 'Yes' to continue the installation. 10.Finish the 'Update Driver', and the updated driver will work for AON-325. 11.You will see "AOpen AON-325 10/100M Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" in the 'Network adapters' list. Change the property of AON-325: =================================== There are some properties that you can change for your application. 1. Connection Type: 100M Full Mode 100M Half Mode 10M Full Mode 10M Half Mode Auto Mode (Default value) You can change the speed to be 10M or 100M and change to be the Full duplex or Half duplex. The default value is Auto Mode,i.e. AON-325 will talk with connection Hub or Switch with auto-negotiation to decide the optimal connection type. 2. Enable PME: Disable Enable (Default value) Hardware Default You can set the behavior of the PMEEN register. In Disable,the PMEEN bit is always set to be 0 in spite of the OS operation. In Enable,the PMEEN bit is always set to be 1 in spite of the OS operation. In Hardware Default,the PMEEN will be 0 in the initial state and it will be changed by the OS operation. When PMEEN is 0, AON-325 will NOT be able to trigger the PMEEN signal . When PMEEN is 1, AON-325 will be able to trigger the PMEEN signal. 3. WakeUp Frame: Disable Enable (Default value) In Disable, the WakeUp Frame function will be disable. In Enable, the Wakeup Frame function is Enable.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
