Introduction:
=============
 This document shows you how to setup the driver and how to use the enhanced
 functions by setting the custom keywords.

  Location of Driver:     \W95_OSR2\AON325.SYS

Contents of the Subdirectory:
=============================
    AON325.SYS          The NDIS4 driver for Windows 95 OSR2.
    AON325.INF          The installation information file.

Installation:
=============
  Before starting with the installation process, make sure that the adapter
  is properly installed and configured.

   1.When you plug the AON-325 in the mother board and power on the Windows
     95 OSR2, the 'Update Device Driver Wizard' window will prompt and say
     that

     The wizard will complete the installation of
          PCI Ethernet Controller

   2.Click 'Next' then it will say
     'Windows was unable to locate a driver for this device'.
     Click 'Other Location' button.

   3.Put the driver disk in the floppy drive and enter the driver path i.e.
     'a:\w95_osr2' in Location Field and click 'OK'.

   4.It will show that Windows found the following updated driver for this
     device:

         AOpen AON-325 10/100M Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter

     And
     Location of Driver
          W95_osr2

     Click 'Finish'.

   5.Select the appropriate Connection Type (default is Auto-Negotiation).
     Click 'OK'.

   6.If this is your first time to install the Ethernet adapter and have not
     install the protocols and clients for Microsoft and Netware, please do
     NOT restart the computer.Go to the Start\Settings\Control and
     double-click the Network icon to install the other necessary files for
     the network operation.
     Windows 95 OSR2 will ask you Do you want to restart your computer now?,
     Click 'Yes' to restart the Windows 95 OSR2.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
