===================LG Scanworks 600p XP driver by Bajgy=====================

-----GENERAL INFO:

This driver is a modified Primax Colorado 1200p NT/2k driver for LG Scanworks 600p for Windows XP
It's in a very beta state, because all I did on the original Colorado driver was that I changed the needed
files with the LG 600p driver files, and implemented the detector into the install.

The driver will not work with LG600U, as it connects via USB, and the drivers are not the same. If you own a USB version
you should try another submitted driver on www.driverguide.com.

-----INSTALLATION:

Run setup.exe, it will do almost all the work for you.

If you want Detector to start with Windows: there are two ways
  1. Put a shortcut into the Startup folder in your Start menu (the path can be "%windir%\twain_32\Lg600p\Detector.exe")
  2. Open regedit and locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Here add an !expanded! string e.g. "Detector" with the value of "%windir%\twain_32\Lg600p\Detector.exe"

-----IMPORTANT:

1. One thing I noticed that the Uninstall doesn't work for me, I tried the uninstall of the original Colorado driver
and that doesn't work either, so it's not my mistake...I think

2. Windows XP won't recognise the scanner among the Imaging devices, but e.g. Paint Shop Pro handles it perfectly.

3. Scanning with TaskBridge can sometimes cause a little error: The colours of the scanned page (or part of it) can go wrong.
For example I tested it with a blue cd label, and the bottom of it was scanned green. But I've only met this with TaskBridge.
Scanning preview some more times solves the problem!
I suggest using a better gfx program, like Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop etc...

4. If Detector autostarts with Windows, it can indicate that the scanner is offline, but it will open TaskBridge anyway, and will work.
After this, the problem written in the 3. point can occour.

5. You are free to modify this package, but please let me know if you edit it (and send me a copy of it with some details if possible) Thanks

That's all for now. If you find any other mistakes, or have an opinion, don't hesitate to write it to me to:

------------- Scanner Additional Information -----------------

Please read this file before using your scanner. It provides information that was
not available when the user's guide and on-line Help were produced.

1) Warm Up Time
Your scanner needs 45 seconds to warm up the first time you access
it from TaskBridge or via the Twain driver. It will remain on and ready to scan as long
as TaskBridge or the Twain driver is open (and the scanner detector is running).
It automatically turns off 30 minutes after closing TaskBridge or the Twain driver.
After this time it will require another 45 seconds to warm up before ready for use again.

2) IOMEGA ZIP Drive
The IOMEGA ZIP Drive with the parallel port pass through function has problems working
when connected to the scanner. If you use an IOMEGA ZIP DRIVE and you
also want to use the scanner at the same time, on the same machine, please use a Data
Switch to connect these two devices.

3) Printer with bi-directional function
If your printer's bi-directional function is enabled, the scan function will be interrupted.
Please disable the bi-directional function in the printer property sheet.

4) For Windows NT users
Windows NT is more memory consuming than other Windows O/S.
To avoid system error:"Virtual memory not enough," please increase your system's memory
to at least 32MB and/or increase your system's virtual memory.
