Dear Service Provider, Thank you for purchasing EnterNet 300 for Windows from Efficient Networks Inc. ("ENI"). We're certain you'll be pleased with your purchase decision, and are committed to making your EnterNet experience a positive one. To meet the varied needs of our service provider customers, we've made EnterNet for Windows highly brandable and customizable. Most of the branding and customization options are just that; options that you can elect to implement as you see fit. ENTERNET 300 FOR WINDOWS SERVICE PROVIDER'S TOOL KIT ---------------------------------------------------- The CD on which EnterNet 300 was delivered to you by ENI contains a GUI CD browser that should launch when the CD is inserted into your CD-ROM drive. In fact, you probably elected to view this file by pressing the "Service Provider's ReadMe" button on the CD browser. If the CD browser did not auto-launch, you might want to launch it manually by double-clicking the file named setup.exe located on the root directory of the EnterNet 300 CD. The CD browser simplifies the process of accessing information you will need in order to brand and customize EnterNet 300 for Windows prior to deploying it to your end users. From the CD browser, you will be able to accomplish the following: -- view this file (Service Provider's ReadMe) -- view the EnterNet Branding and Customization Guide -- view the EnterNet User's Guide -- view the EnterNet Release Notes -- view and edit the end user's ReadMe file -- view the End User License Agreement -- launch your default browser and connect to the ENI EnterNet FAQ -- install Adobe Acrobat Reader (to view the Branding and User's Guides) -- install EnterNet 300 for Windows, as delivered from ENI PREPARING ENTERNET FOR DISTRIBUTION TO YOUR CUSTOMERS ----------------------------------------------------- The most efficient way to proceed with branding and customizing EnterNet is to print and review the "Branding and Customization Guide" and the "User's Guide", before you begin. You can launch both these guides from the CD browser. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system, you will need to install it before you can view the documents. Acrobat Reader can be installed from the CD Browser. Once you've printed and reviewed the branding and user's guides, you should then install EnterNet 300, as delivered from ENI, comparing what you are seeing on your screen with the information documented in the branding guide. EnterNet 300 can be installed from the CD browser. This process will provide you with a thorough understanding of how branding is applied to EnterNet. Once you've gained familiarity with EnterNet, you will be ready to brand and customize it in preparation for distribution to your end users. Follow the process outlined in the "EnterNet 300 Branding and Customization Guide". SUPPORTING ENTERNET ------------------- Even if you have purchased support from ENI, it is your responsibility to provide competent technical support services to your end users. Your end user customers who call ENI for support will be referred back to you. Have your support staff thoroughly review the EnterNet User's Guide. It will help them to better understand EnterNet, thereby improving their ability to effectively support it. Your support staff will also find the release notes and the EnterNet FAQ to be helpful tools to assist with your support obligations. Both the release notes and the FAQ are accessible from the CD browser. Viewing the FAQ will require an active Internet connection and a web browser. Once again, thank you for purchasing EnterNet 300. Should you have any questions about EnterNet, or should you experience any difficulty with the product or the tools packaged with it, please contact your ENI sales representative for guidance, or send an e-mail note to enternet@efficient.com. Sincerely, Efficient Networks, Inc. 19-OCT-00 CZDownload Driver Pack
