1.0 Updates To The Five of Clubs QuickStart Guide

There are no changes to the QuickStart Guide.

                              ** ** ** ** ** ** **

2.0 Windows 9x Installation

To install the Five of Clubs 56K Modem under Windows 9x, just insert the
5oC into an available PC Card slot. Windows 9x will detect the presence
of the 5oC and begin the "New Hardware Wizard" to install it.

Once the "New Hardware Wizard" has started, insert this diskette into the
floppy drive and click on next. Windows 9x will recognize the "Ositech 5oC 56K
Modem" card. Click on the "Finish" button and Windows will copy all required
files from the floppy disk.

Your new Trumpcard has been installed. There is no need to re-start
Windows at this time, however when Windows is re-started, the Trumpcard PILOT
will be launched (see section 4.0 below).

                              ** ** ** ** ** ** **

3.0 Windows NT 4.0 Installation

To install the 5oC under Windows NT 4.0, just insert the 5oC into an
available PC Card slot before booting the computer. if you have Card and
Socket Services for Windows NT installed, the 5oC can be "hot-inserted".

Once NT has started, open the Window NT Control Panel, and start the
Modems applet. Let Windows NT auto-detect it's modems.

Windows NT should find a "Standard Modem". Click on the change button,
and let NT bring up a list of modems to choose from. Then click on the "Have
Disk" button and point the location to A:\, where NT will find the 5oC modem
information file. NT will then provide a list of available modems to install.
Select your model of modem and click on the OK button. Click on the "Finish"
button to complete the installation.

Windows NT will copy over all files required for the Trumpcard PILOT.
Windows NT may display a message advising to re-start after the installation
of these files is complete. Re-starting will complete the installation of the
Trumpcard PILOT (see section 4.0 below).

3.1 Third Party Card Services under Windows NT 4.0

The Five of Clubs Trumpcard will install and function under most
available third party Card Services for Windows NT. The Trumpcard PILOT should
also not be affected any card service.

                              ** ** ** ** ** ** **

4.0 Ositech's Trumpcard PILOT

The Ositech Trumpcard PILOT is now installed automatically when
installing the Five of Clubs Trumpcard. It will automatically be launched
once the computer is re-booted. You will find it in the Windows 9x/NT System
Tray. Click on it and select the Ositech Trumpcard you wish information
about.

The Trumpcard PILOT will display critical information about the 5oC,
power the card on or off for advanced power savings and allow you to set the
modem characteristics for various countries. These features are dependent upon
the model of 5oC purchased.

To not have the Trumpcard PILOT launch everytime, please remove the
shortcut for the PILOT from the Windows Start-Up folder.

To uninstall the Ositech PILOT, first close the Trumpcard PILOT from
the System Tray, if it is running. Next open the Control Panel and launch
the "Add/Remove Applications" applet. Select the "Trumpcard PILOT" from
the list of installed applications and click on "Remove". The complete
application will be removed.

                              ** ** ** ** ** ** **

5.0 DOS/Windows 3.x

If the computer is using DOS Card and Socket Services, then to use the
5oC, just insert it into an available PC Card slot. The Card and Socket
Services will automatically enable the 5oC as a modem and create a COM port
for it. Please see your Card and Socket Services documentation for more
information.

If DOS Card and Socket Services are not being used, then to use the 5oC
modem the Ositech DOS modem enabler will need to be run. The Ositech DOS modem
enabler, OTCMOD.COM, is located on this diskette in the A:\DOS folder. Run
OTCMOD with the "/?" command switch for a list of available command line
options.

For convenience, copy the OTCMOD.COM file into the C:\DOS directory (or
any other directory found in the DOS path). OTCMOD.COM can then be run from any
location. It is also possible to run OTCMOD.COM every time the computer boots.
Just place the following line in the AUTOEXEC.BAT:

                               C:\DOS\OTCMOD.COM

                              ** ** ** ** ** ** **

6.0 Other Operating Systems

The 5oC can be used with all operating systems which either supply a
PC Card modem enabler or have some form of Card and Socket Services. Some such
operating systems include: OS/2 (with Card and Socket Services), Macintosh
PowerBooks (native support for PC Card modems) and Windows CE.

Please note, however, that Ositech does not have software utilities like
the Trumpcard PILOT and diagnostics for all of these operating systems.
Visit the Ositech website at http:\\www.ositech.com for software updates.

7.0 Diagnostics

Ositech Communications supplies a comprehensive diagnostics tool for your
new Five of Clubs Trumpcard. If you ever experience a problem with your
Trumpcard, please run the program 5OCDIAG.exe from the A:\DIAGS directory of
this diskette. This program will help you solve almost any problem that you
may have with your Trumpcard.

Please note that this program must be run in a "CLEAN" DOS environment or
from Windows 95's "Safe Mode, Command Prompt Only".

To get to a "CLEAN" DOS prompt, press F5 when you see the "Starting MS-DOS..."
message or use a boot disk with no CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT.

To get to Windows 95's "Safe Mode, command prompt only", press F8 when you
see the "Starting Windows 95..." message. Then choose the "Safe Mode, command
prompt Only" option.

Users of Windows NT or other operating systems will need to use a DOS or
Windows 95 boot disk. This boot disk should not load any drivers, except those
necessary to operate the computer. This boot disk should also have all the
files from the A:\DIAGS directory on it so that you can run the diagnostics
directly from the boot disk. This will avoid file system incompatibilities
(i.e. NTFS, HPFS, etc.).

The 5oC Diagnostics program will not run if it detects any Card and Socket
Services are present in memory.

Please run the diagnostics program BEFORE calling Technical Support, as it
will help you solve most problems.
