3Com HOMECONNECT ADSL MODEM PCI v1.0.0.15

November 21, 2000

Release Notes

1.) The 3Com HomeConnect ADSL Modem PCI is currently incompatible with the AcerPower S Series PC, Micron Millennia Computers and Computer Systems running Dual Processors.

2.) In Windows 98 SE and Windows ME, the uninstall program does not remove the file 3cdslndi.dll. This file is located in the windows system directory and can be deleted after the un-install program has run.

3.) If the user tries to invoke the Install Program by clicking the CD or Setup.exe multiple times, the error "ikernal.exe" appears. If the user click's OK the install will continue normally.

4.) Beginning the installation process by installing the Software first is highly recommended. However if the user proceeds to install the PCI CARD first, he/she can encounter an NDISWAN error in Windows 95. This error occurs if DialUp Networking v1.3 is not installed prior to installing the PCI Card.

5.) If the DialUp Network has not been configured, prior to installation of the modem, the install program will be unable to create the DialUp Networking profile required to make a connection. Please refer to the Online Guide on how to manually create the DialUp Networking Connection.

6.) After changing the VC Settings for the Modem by using the advanced driver properties screen, a re-start of the PC is required in order for the Modem to function Properly.
