Instruction Manual to Update Firmware with IDE FLASH Version 2.01

1.Installation 
Please copy the following files in the same folder:

1) MI_RWIFLV201.exe
2) Fide.sys
3) Fidevxd.vxd
4) Firmware-Datei, z.B. FW.hex

2.How to update the firmware

1)Doubleclick on MI_RWIFLV201.exe. 

2)Under Target Drive you can see the selected device for the update. If not the desired device is selected, please chosse the rigth one.

3)Choose now with the BROWSE button the Firmware-File (e.g. FW.hex). You can choose it in which you with the mouse pointer click on the firmware file and push on "öffnen".

4)You can see the actual drive information:


	Target Drive    Source    Device Revision 

5) Close all other applications, before you continue. If a CD is in the device, remove it.

6) The program can backup the actual firmware of your drive now. If you like to do that, choose the UPGRADE button. 

7) Now, IDE FLASH starts updating firmware. The progress is shown with a bar. Do not switch off PC while the process continues.

8)Please close the application and turn off the PC and turn on again after updating firmware.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
