------------------------------------------------------ WINDOWS NT 3.51 MODEM INSTALLATION PROCEDURE AND NOTES ------------------------------------------------------ Please refer to the Motorola modem Web site for updated drivers for Windows NT 3.51. The URL is http://www.mot.com/modems Note: You must exit the Motorola CD-ROM application before following this procedure. The following procedure should be used when installing your Motorola 56K modem on Windows NT 3.51: 1) From the folder "\NT351" on your CD, run "setup.exe". This program copies the plug and play software to your computer. 2) Restart your computer. As the computer starts, the modem device driver is started. 3) Run "Motorola Pnp Setup for NT 3.51" from the Motorola program group. Record the IRQ and I/O address information that you chose for step 6. 4) Open up the Main Program Group and double click Control Panel. 5) Double click Ports and then choose Add. 6) Add a communication port with the free IRQ and I/O address that you recorded in step 3. Check "FIFO Enabled". Click OK to accept the new port settings. 7) Choose Restart Now to restart your computer. 8) After Windows NT 3.51 starts, wait for a beep (or about 40 seconds) for the modem to be ready.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
