igclreg V1.0 09/17/2002 WARNING: This tool is intended to remove all ines-GPIB registry entries and installed files from the system. The tools runs under all 32 Bit Windows versions (9x/ME/NT/2000/XP) and checks for all entries/files installed under any Windows version. Under NT/2000/XP the user must have administrator rights to run the tool properly. The program searches for build in default registry entries and files and removes them. Additional items can be specified in an ASCII file named igclreg.dat. Syntax in igclreg.dat: ---------------------- General: -------- All entries must begin in the first column of a line. There are variables available to use for directories which are not known before on agiven system. This tokes are replaced with the actual directory names at runtime. These variables are: %windir% for the actual Windows directory %sicldir% for the actual SICL installation directory %inesdir% for the actual ines installation directory Comments: --------- Lines beginning with a '#' and empty lines are ignored. Registry Keys: -------------- An entry beginning with KHEY_ will be interpreted as a registry key. This key will be removed with all sub keys. Example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\iieee488 Entire directories: ------------------- Lines beginning with DELTREE followed by a directory name define a directory to remove with all sub directories. Example: DELTREE %inesdir% will delete the actual ines installations directory (default: c:\ines4882) with all sub directories. Search directory for files containing searchstring: --------------------------------------------------- A line beginning with SEARCHSTRING specifies a string to be searched in all files contained in the directory and its subdirectories specified by SEARCHDIR. SEARCHSTRING must be defined before SEARCHDIR. The value of SEARCHSTRING is valid for all following SEARCHDIRS until it is new defined. Example: SEARCHSTRING ines-GPIB SEARCHDIR %windir%\inf Will search all files in <windows>\inf and sub directories for occurances of ines-GPIB. If the string is found, the file will be deleted. Single files: ------------- All lines not machting the above descibed syntax will be interpreted as filenames to delete. The filename must contain the complete path. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
