Getting Started ================== First, please refer to the Installation Guide for complete installation instructions. When installing the adapter onto your computer, make sure the USB port has Series "A" connector. 2. Installation Guide ===================== "text" : Windows Message <text> : Button [text] : Function/Icon 1) Power on the computer system. 2) Plug the USB To Fast Ethernet Adapter into the USB port of host computer. 3) When the Win98/ME/2000 system asks for the driver, make sure that you select; Win98: <Search for the best driver for your device(Recommended)> WinME: <Automatic search for a better driver(Recommended)> Win2000:<Search fo a suitable driver for my device(recommended)> 4) In the next screen when Win98/2000 "searches for driver", please make sure that <Specify a location> is selected. While on the same screen, insert the driver diskette. Then click on <Next> button to go on to the next screen. WinME will automatic to find the driver location. 5) The system display a "found a driver for this device" client window, click <Next> again. 6) Then the system will copy the necessary driver files, click <Next> again (In Win2000 Windows will prompt a "Digital Signature Not Found" message, ignore the message and click <Yes> button to continue). 7) Then Driver installation completed, click <finish>. 8) Reboot the system(Win98/ME) and check into the [MyComputer->Device manager to confirm that the USB To Fast Ethernet Adapter is working properly. 9) Add other network protocols or network services from [Network] when needed. 3. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
